I negotiated one of the first sponsored flight of the Concorde supersonic airliner for the press launch of Gillette's Techmatic razor - but it never happened because airport workers at Heathrow threatened to strike in protest at the deal. Negotiations broke down as journalists started to check in so we switched to a nearby hotel. Thanks to the strike threat Techmatic got better than expected press, radio and TV coverage.
