Thanks for dropping in on David Davis.biz.
What you will discover is that from an unashamedly ordinary background and a genuine dislike for school I have had an interesting and varied career in what has become known as 'the media'.
Every day I have learned something new..I have travelled far and wide and seen how the rich and the very poor live...I have met many of the great and the good (and even some not-so-great and not-so-good)...I have witnessed unbridled happiness and uncontrollable sadness..I have said goodbye to the typewriter and carbon paper and said hello (with some fear and trepidation) to the PC, email, google and the Internet.
Technology's impact on the media continues to astound me and I follow the mantra of Ed Murrow, the famous US journalist and broadcaster, as he put it:
"The newest computer can merely compound, at speed, the oldest problem in the relations between human beings, and in the end the communicator will be confronted with the old problem, of what to say and how to say it."
That's where I come in.
